Trivia night at Basic City Beer Co.!
April 10, 2018, 7:00 PM @ Wayne Theatre
Leonard Poulin, President of The Center for Coldwater Restoration and member of the Virginia Museum of Natural History Foundation Board, will present the April Science Talk. Water scarcity is both a natural and a human-made phenomenon. There is enough fresh water on the planet for 7 billion people; but it is distributed unevenly and too much of it is wasted, polluted and unsustainably managed. Miami is one of 11 major cities worldwide expected to experience a water crisis within the next 10 years. Waynesboro, with its abundant supply of fresh spring water, could play a significant role in the worldwide effort to develop solutions to address this pending crisis. Mr. Poulin will detail the pending problems and the science behind the solutions. The talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
